Kristen P. Hook, MD joins us from the University of Minnesota where she served as founding director for the Division of Pediatric Dermatology from 2010-2019. She completed her undergraduate and medical doctorate at the University of Iowa. She completed medical residencies in Pediatrics and Dermatology at the University of Minnesota where she also served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. She completed research fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University and clinical pediatric dermatology fellowship at University of California San Diego. Dr. Hook’s clinical interests include general pediatric dermatology (atopic dermatitis, moles, birthmarks, acne, rashes, warts, molluscum). Special interests include neonatal dermatology, hemangiomas, inherited skin disease (epidermolysis bullosa, ichthyosis) and pediatric dermatologic surgery and laser treatment. Dr. Hook is the current president of the Minnesota Dermatological Society and Associate Professor of Dermatology & Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four boys. She is the first board certified pediatric dermatologist to join Dermatology Specialists.
